Cockroach Identification

Chances are that you will know a cockroach when you see one. The American cockroach and the German cockroach are most common in our area. Most cockroaches are some shade of brown, but do have a reddish-brown mix. Cockroaches have wings, but they cannot fly.  

Cockroaches are infamous pests. Known for their resilience, cockroaches seek out their preferred habitats but are able to adapt to their surroundings; that’s why they are hard to shake and often require professional extermination. Like other insects, they are attracted to easily accessible food and will take advantage of your pantry if given the opportunity. They can be found in common dark, damp areas.
